Find The Answers to Your Questions Below:

How do I get started?

You can rent your storage unit online in a matter of minutes. You can also call our office to rent a storage unit by phone. Be sure to have access to your email during the call so that you can electronically sign the lease and insurance agreements.

When can I move in?

After you rent your storage unit, you will receive gate and lock codes. Then you can move in anytime during access hours.

What are the facility’s access hours?

We offer 24-hour access only with a background check. Regular hours are daily from 6 AM to 9 PM.

Am I required to store long-term?

Rock Storage’s lease is a flexible month-to-month one. Store with us short or long-term, whatever is best for you!

What security measures are there?

We have an electronic access gate, cameras recording the facility 24/7, outdoor lighting, and fencing around the whole facility.

Why can't I open my unit?

If you have trouble opening your self-storage unit, use your foot to press down on the door handle when you are unlatching it. When leaving, hold the handle down again as you latch it closed to ensure that the door is sealed.

How do I secure my unit?

We provide a DaVinci lock for each unit. Once the lease is complete, you will receive the code to unlock it.

What items am I not allowed to store?

Perishables, food, plants, animals, stolen or illegal goods, flammable or hazardous items, combustible items, or liquids.

Do you plow the snow at the facility?

When it snows, we plow the facilities as soon as possible. Because we do our own snow removal, it may be a couple of days before we're able to safely travel to Rock Storage to plow the facility. At Our location, we get the snow blade as close to the storage units as possible, but this can still leave a few inches of snow in front of the doors.

Do I need insurance?

Yes, insurance is required. Provide proof of your own insurance or enroll in our insurance coverage provided by Tenant Protectors.

How the promo works for "Every 3 Months Stay Get 1 Month Free?"

Rock Storage’s lease is a flexible month-to-month one., You need to pay rent in beginning of the each month. There is no contract for renting the Units, but for every consecutive three-month stay booked with us, you will receive an additional fourth month completely free of charge.

Why do I need to sign this insurance agreement if I bought coverage from Storage Protectors?

The insurance agreement is mandatory for each rental with Rock Storage. If you bought our coverage from Storage Protectors, you do not need to provide additional proof of insurance since buying the insurance is sufficient proof that your belongings are protected in our storage facility.

How should I pack my storage unit?

You decide how to organize your unit based on your needs. We recommend placing cardboard boxes on pallets or plastic tubs because they could absorb the moisture from the cement floors if placed directly on the ground. More ideas about packing your storage unit can be found on the Rock Storage Ninjas .

How do I pay my storage bill?

Pay your storage bill online using a MasterCard or Visa debit or credit card or by ACH. Setting up autopay is required when you rent a self-storage unit.

What happens if I’m late making a payment?

Your monthly rent is always due on the 1st of each month after your first month. We provide a five-day grace period before charging a late fee on the 6th, which is the greater of $20 or 20% of your monthly rate. When the late fee is applied, your unit will also be overlocked and your gate access will be revoked until your payment is received.

How long after my account is delinquent will my belongings go to auction?

After 45 days of delinquency, we may enforce the lien and sell your stored items.

How much notice needs to be given before I move out?

We require 10 days verbal OR 15 days written notice before vacating. On your scheduled move-out day, make sure the unit is completely empty, send us the photo of the empty unit, secure it with the DaVinci lock and return any extra DaVinci locks to the drop-box at the facility. Full instructions for move out are listed at the bottom of our rules page.
